Hi all,
This is a post for my NA1 Students. We have already finished the unit on sports, entertainment and hobbies. The last grammar point in the copies I gave you from Outcomes (Upper Intermediate) is the difference between present perfect simple and continuous. The differences between them are very subtle, and often it depends on what you want to emphasise to decide what tense you are choosing...
Well I propose that you take a look at the link below...please read the information and do one or two exercises...;-)Enjoy!

For those who love Cooking
Hi everyone,
Recently I decided that I want to learn how to cook properly, and to that end, I constantly use the Internet to find recipes and new methods. Thanks to that, I discovered this wonderful woman's website:
TITLIS BUSY KITCHEN
Take a look if you want, and also check her site in You Tube, she has lots of great recipes from all over the world. She makes cooking seem incredibly simple, and she is terrific, soooo so funny, and incredibly good at explaining how to cook things :-)
Here is a sample video on how to cook Chicken Dhansak. Enjoy!
Titli, thanks a lot!!!!!!!!

BASICO 2: UNIT TWO
This is a post for Básico 2 students.
We have already finished unit 2, and have started the third, the unit about work and professions. If you want, in this post you can find some links with extra work to revise some of the things we have learnt in UNIT 2, titled BEGINNINGS...
We have decided to read some short stories during Christmas and in January, so here is a link where you can find lots of short stories. But let me tell you I am preparing a list with plenty of links where you can find lots of online literature to continue reading at home...
EAST OF THE WEB
We have seen in class the verb tenses needed to narrate things that happened in the past (remember the nice crime stories you have written), so here is a link where you can practice with some of the most useful and common verb tenses, from Isabel pérez's website
THE HAPPY VERB GANG
Here is a link to a wonderful chart with connectors to link sentences (but this year we won't need all these, only a few ;-) )
LIST OF CONNECTORS
And another with the explanations to use them correctly:
ENGLISH AT HOME
And finally, I want to talk to you about a wonderful website where you can practice your listening, called ELLLO.ORG
In this website, it is possible to find listenings and videos where people talk about any topic you can imagine, and the good thing is that it is possible to look at the tapescript (read and listen to what they say at the same time. And you can also download the recordings as MP3s to your PCs!!! I LOVE THIS WEBSITE!
Some examples:
BECOMING A CHEF
DREAM JOB
HALLOWEEN: WHAT IS TRICK OR TREATING?
FIRST JOB (UNIT 3;-))
Hope you enjoy!!!
